Santa Clarita homeowners whose homes were destroyed or damaged are about to have a brush with kindness.
Habitat for Humanity, renowned for enabling volunteer home builders in times of need, and the Southern California Gas Company are teaming up in a program called Brush With Kindness, to help rebuild fire-damaged homes in Santa Clarita.
Cash and actual physical hard-working volunteer help are on the way.
"We want to give these neighborhoods a chance to return back to the beautiful state they were before the fires," said Donna E. Deutchman, executive director and CEO of Habitat for Humanity in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.
